Bad Saint by Monica James Review *SPOILER FREE*

WOW! Let me begin by saying this is the most unique dark romance story I have ever come across. I’ve read many dark romance books by other authors like Penelope Sky, C.J.Roberts, Sylvia Day, etc there are so many great stories out there, but Bad Saint definitely had a touch none of the other stories I have read did. Let’s talk about Willow, a young woman who models, marries Drew after knowing him almost 3 months (crazy right!); while on their honeymoon Willow is kidnapped by Russians but thats not all there is an American among them, which she notices right away because of his accent. Saint is a guy who shows her compassion through his emotions and kindness, although he tries to make her believe otherwise. What was so compelling about the story, was how it took place. On a boat where she basically surrounded by sea and has no means for help. I loved that her charisma and strong will didn’t allow her spirit to break, if anything it gave her the power to push through her obstacles to try and get out of the dangerous situation she was in. Even though Saint would try to break her spirit, she did not budge. Although saint did many despicable things in front of Willow, she knew they were necessary, although she hated how he treated her, towards the end of the book the reader is able to answer a lot of questions regarding Sant’s side of why he kidnapped Willow. I have to give this book 5 stars! It honestly blew my mind away especially finding out why Saint was doing everything and for who, for those reading this review. If you hate dark romance, give this one a change and even though it has many parts where gruesome things are taking place. This story is beautiful if you are able to get past that. Loved it!
